Job Description
Small but growing dairy goat farm seeks ambitious and hard-working individual to manage day-to-day aspects of animal rearing and seasonal milking. This person will be responsible for maintaining the health and nutrition of a registered Alpine and Nubian dairy goat herd. He/she will also be directly involved in breeding, kidding, and dairy operation. Other possible farm duties include assisting with planting and harvesting of field crops, vegetable gardening, and general farm tasks.
Position is located on a historic farm in Upstate New York, in the Adirondacks, between the High Peaks and the Champlain Valley. Field crops are certified organic. Dairy goats will be transitioned to organic when target herd size is reached.
Job Qualifications
Previous farm experience desired.
Salary
Commensurate with experience; housing a possibility
