Job Description
This position is responsible for leading sensory product research for key Philip Morris business areas.
Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with managers and directors to propose research and deliver insights
- Collaborating with key project directors to determine research needs, provide insights and make recommendations on product direction
- Presenting results to senior management
- Managing research professionals and providing managerial and technical oversight of projects
- Advancing the sensory research infrastructure within MICR, mentoring an developing new talent
- Leading sensory product research that will serve as an engine for new products and innovations
- Managing external research contracts and developing new external research capability
- Providing strategic direction and administering and maintaining a budget of 4M to 8M.

Job Qualifications
This position requires a Masters degree in Food Science, Social Sciences, or Psychology along with 10 years experience working in an applied RD&E environment, a proven track record of research - product understanding and excellent analytical and problem solving skills. The successful candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of product concept development based on a deep understanding of consumers, their habits and product needs, a broad knowledge of statistics, research methodology development, and qualitative research methods.
