Job Description
The Investment Analyst will be an integral part of a team of four investment professionals managing over $700 million in private equity investments in agricultural real estate for the Hancock Agricultural Investment Group (HAIG). The Analyst will be responsible for four main areas: transaction underwriting and analysis, commodity research, client marketing, and asset management. The Analyst will work closely with the Director of Asset Management, HAIG's Managing Director, Portfolio Manager, Client Accounting and Reporting Group, and legal counsel, as well as directly with national property management firm, Farmland Management Services.
Job Qualifications
The position requires a solid understanding of and genuine interest in agriculture, a firm grasp of investment strategy and financial analysis, and general knowledge of alternative asset classes and the investment management industry. An undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or agriculture is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
