Job Description
Responsible for coordinating efforts of the Student/Alumni Center for Professional Development as well as implementing and creating new student programs consisting of student grants, student ambassadors, etc.
Facilitate student/alumni programs with emphasis on networking opportunities to students and alumni in career exploration and transition. Recruit, maintain and further develop a diverse population of alumni and professional volunteers that will serve as mentors, networking contacts, potential employment opportunities and other forms of professional advancement for students/alumni. Assist with implementing a strategic marketing plan to include student, faculty and community programming, online presence and marketing materials to inform students and alumni of the Student/Alumni Center for Professional Development. Some evening and weekend work, as well as overnight travel, will be required.
Job Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and experience with successful undergraduate student, alumni, or career programs in higher education is required. Valid driver's license required. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in written and oral communication, computer and database familiarity, initiative, focus, ability to work as a team player, and knowledge of SUNY Plattsburgh and networking programs. Preference may be given to candidates with experience in the development and implementation of student, alumni and/or career programming.
