Job Description
The individual will lead a growing organization with secure funding and a compelling mission. WMSWCD works with landowners on soil and water resource conservation issues, control of invasive species and natural resource education. The District Manager oversees operations, supervises all other staff, is responsible for fiscal management and represents the District to the public and partner organizations. This position reports directly to an elected Board of Directors. WMSWCD is an equal opportunity employer. Full background check required.

Job Qualifications
- Minimum of BA or BS in public administration; non profit management; natural resources; environmental policy and management; business administration; or a related field. A master's degree is preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
- Five years minimum experience in program development and management, office administration, or business management is required. At least two years with a soil and water conservation district, watershed council, natural resource conservation agency, local government entity, or similar organization is highly desired.
- A strong natural resource conservation ethic is required.
- Extension experience in building organizational capacity and in board development is highly desired.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Familiarity with QuickBooks Pro, database software, and accessing Internet sites is required.
Salary
50 - 65k DOE plus benefits
