Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated team member to work cooperatively with our Purchasing team in the approval of new suppliers, monitoring of existing suppliers, as well as provide support with operational issues related to raw material quality. Additionally this position is responsible for working collaboratively with multiple disciplines to create a strong supplier quality management program, establish measures to monitor and track deviations and corrective actions, and evaluate and recommend ways to enhance quality and food safety performance monitoring systems.
Job Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environemtn, preferably in the food industry coupled with at least 3 years of project management and/or auditing experience. Additionally, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as well as being adaptable to change is extremely important. Six Sigma training is a strong plus. There is roughly 35% travel involved with this position and on occasion may be on short notice.
