Job Description
This position will provide advanced breeding assistance to existing maize breeding programs focused on inbred and hybrid development for the Northern and Northeastern Corn Belt. As such, efforts will contribute to comprehensive maize product development, characterization, and commercialization programs at the Janesville, Wisconsin corn research center. Support all phases of planning, execution, data collection, and data analysis of field experiments designed and conducted to meet the objectives of the Research Center. In addition, this position will provide regional computer/information coordination and support as well as data management and analysis.
Job Qualifications
Master's degree in Plant Breeding, Agronomy, or a related field and three or more years of experience in field-based breeding in maize or other crops, genetic mapping or molecular breeding, plant physiology or equivalent amounts of relevant education and experience.
