Job Description
A full-time 12-month position is available immediately to coordinate equine and poultry Extension activities for the Department of Animal and Avian Sciences. The successful candidate will have two principal duties: 1) work with departmental extension equine and poultry faculty on development and coordination of regional and statewide equine and poultry extension conferences, workshops, and programs, and 2) assist with development and conduct of applied research or field trials in support of extension education programs including assisting with study design, data collection, statistical analysis and/or data summarization.
Job Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field is required. A M.S. degree in Animal Science, Extension Education, or Agriculture Education is preferred. A strong interest and expertise in animal agriculture is desirable. The candidate should be a goal-oriented individual possessing leadership skills and ability to exercise initiative. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and experience with MS Office applications. Experience with SAS or SPSS and web page tools and management is desirable.
