Job Description
Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating high quality educational programs in field crops & agricultural environmental management issues. In conjunction with the Executive Director/ Team Coordinator, promote program objectives and plans within assigned area of responsibility. Represent Cornell Cooperative Extension to the public, community leaders, government officials, and Cornell University. Subject to the coordinating influences of the Executive Director/ Team Coordinator and association program committee, provide leadership in developing and implementing appropriate program responsibilities, including organizational responsibilities and leadership development. Provide recommendations, advice, and education in subject matter areas. Work as a team to address local, regional , and statewide programming priorities. Assist Cornell faculty with applied research in appropriate areas. This position may include multi-county responsibilities.
Job Qualifications
- Master Degree from an accredited four-year institution with a major in agronomy or a closely related field.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a NYS Pesticide Applicator's License and ma be asked to become a Certified Whole Farm Planner and/or obtain a Certified Crop Advisor Certificate.
