Job Description
Chief Executive Officer for the Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Albany County. Represents and accountable to the association Board of Directors and the Director of the Cornell Cooperative Extension system. A key responsibility of the Executive Director is the development and maintenance of an effective working relationship among the association, its staff and extension administration and Cornell faculty as well as providing leadership for association relations with legislators, local government leaders, community leaders, funding agencies, and civic and special interest groups. This individual exercises professional judgment and executive skills in administering overall association operations. The Executive Director provides leadership in overall educational program development and implementation.
Job Qualifications
- A master's degree appropriate to the responsibilities of the position with preference given to education, public administration or other field related to this position
- 6 years experience, which includes 4 years experience in a leadership capacity relevant to role of position (PHD may substitute for 2 years experience)
- At least three years of substantive leadership and management responsibilities including human resources, finance, and organizational management.
- Substantive coursework and/or experience in education required
Salary
80,000 minimum, commensurate with experience
