Job Description
The Junior Equity Analyst will assist in the research process, working closely with the firm's senior analysts and portfolio managers in making investment recommendations. The analyst will also provide backup support to other areas of investment operations.
Responsibilities include:
-Updating/ maintaining proprietary financial models
-Reading, analyzing, and summarizing SEC filings
-Creating new financial models and maintaining comparable spreadsheets
-Participation in due diligence meetings
-Research in various industries and miscellaneous projects
-Review and prepare reports using markets data services (e.g. Baseline, Bloomberg, Reuters)
Job Qualifications
-BA/BS
-Related equity research or investment banking experience required
-Must have strong understanding of accounting and financial statements
-Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
-Familiar with the Financials or Technology industries is a plus
-Professional demeanor and ability to work well in high pace environment
-Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
-Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
