Job Description
The Lands at Hillside Farms is a 400 acre non-profit historic agricultural and summer estate located in Northeastern, Pennsylvania, with an education-driven mission involving historic preservation, conservation, and sustainable agriculture. Dairy farmer responsibilities to include start-up and management of grass-based dairy operations. Facilities include 80 cow tie stall barn, multiple hay barns, and farm buildings. Market for on farm milk production is 100 % to an on-site milk processing facility and highly successful retail dairy store. Background requires experience managing a grass-based dairy farm, working knowledge of sustainable and organic farm practices; and ability to interact in an educational farm setting. Competitive compensation with housing is included.
Job Qualifications
Knowledge of cheese-making and yogurt production is a plus.
