Job Description

Responsible for providing leadership in the coordination and implementation of the extension association's Nutrition and Family and Consumer Science program areas. Supervise team of staff to effect quality programming in nutrition and health programs including the Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program and Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program. Responsible for developing educational programs in line with association priorities that relate to nutrition and family and consumer sciences and for seeking out grant monies to support and expand program efforts. Draw upon research base in consultation with the Executive Director/Cornell program staff, Cooperative Extension program work teams and Western Region Food and Nutrition Education in Communities team. Responsible for leading direct program delivery and community education, including marketing. Participate as an active member of the association leadership and program team in developing a well-integrated overall association educational effort.

Job Qualifications

Master's degree plus two years experience required and Registered Dietitian credential is preferred. Appropriate subject matter specialization is required with focus in one of the following areas: nutrition, child/human development, family and consumer sciences or human services. Teaching experience and grant writing is necessary.
