OFFICE MANAGING THE AWARD PROCESS: Office of Academic Programs

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: Early February
ELIGIBILITY: Nominees for the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture NACTA award must be CALS faculty.
SPECIFICS: The NACTA award is presented to a faculty member who has demonstrated a commitment to teaching in agricultural sciences. The dossier for the nominee should include:
- Courses taught, including subject, size, growth, innovative aspects
- Undergraduate and graduate advising
- Interactions with students and colleagues outside of class
- Mentoring and motivating students
- Account of how teaching is kept current
- Student and colleague comments (direct quotes are appropriate)
- Cornell/national/international dimension e.g., committee service related to teaching, discussions led at teaching workshops and conferences.
