The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences boasts Ivy League academics and Tier One research programs. Students are exposed to a wide range of academic experiences; with over 20 majors, CALS is home to some of the top-ranked life sciences programs in the country as well as Cornell’s only accredited undergraduate business program. CALS’ world-renowned faculty are dedicated to teaching, inspiring, and challenging the next generation of leaders who recognize the importance of scholarship and applying knowledge to public needs and human well-being in New York State, the US, and the world.
CALS takes pride in not only providing exceptional academic programs, but also exposing students to the research process by inviting them to participate in project teams lead by internationally recognized faculty. Students are encouraged to get out of the classroom and into the field, the greenhouse, or the lab, where they experience the excitement of discovery while translating knowledge into action.
